Wrapped up Kaş with breakfast.
Fresh squeezed OJ
A beautiful drive out of Kaş and we headed for Saklikent canyon.
We walked through a bit of the Saklikent canyon and of course, had çay.
The water was cold but a good shock to the system.
I had some black mulberry chocolate ice cream that was delicious.
After the canyon we chilled in a nearby restaurant having Gözleme, a savory stuffed turnover. We tried the cheese and the potato, the potato was my favorite…then we fed the rest to the ducks.
Pictured with the Gözleme is Nar Suyu(pomegranate juice) I loveeeed this fresh squeezed pom juice. It was amazing 🤩.
After our rest in this beautiful place we were on our way back to Fethiye.
We were driving back and I remarked about the people trying to wave us into their restaurants and then I saw these kids and I was like oh they want a ride…
Then my Turkish friend actually stopped the car and we picked up these two hitchhikers 👀…I was a little surprised because in America if we pick up hitchhikers we're likely to pick up danger of sorts.
When in Türkiye!
They were traveling around Türkiye this way! Snapped a pic of them after we dropped them off.
So much cuter and nonthreatening than American hitchhikers 😂.
Happened to catch the sunset in çalış beach before dinner.
My friend taught me how to make çay, so I'm having some now while I catch up on the blog.
It was a great weekend in Kaş and Demre and a special treat to experience it with a Turk. The Turk has returned to Istanbul now and it's just me and Fethiye trying to figure each other out.
Stay tuned.
