Every now and then / by Tahlia Roper

I like to socialize.

Friday I was able to meet up one of my faves that I hadn't seen in awhile. We went to Saturn Room and I had my first chi chi(delish) then trucked it over to St. Vitus to dance.

Techno makes my neck hurt 🥲

A classic Soundpony selfie- looking like the end of the night 😅 but just so you know, I go clubbing in someone else's grandma's zebra blazer.

It was the latest that I had stayed out in awhile but such a good time.

Someone I met on Friday asked me, “how busy is Tahlia”

My reply was that I'm not that busy other than being busy with not being busy, I need an immense amount of time to myself to feel like a human and be able to get anything done. Rest, recalibration, and solitude are so important to me.

Yesterday I went down to the Legacy Fest and laid out in the sun most of the day listening to music and feeling warm.

I don't really watch TV or movies, but maybe I should. When people ask me what I do with my time(in relation to not watching tv/movies) I'm not sure if it's fortunately or unfortunately but my answer is that I actually spend a lot of time just thinkin'.

I've also entered this time in life where I'm so comfortable being alone and doing things by myself. It's great actually, but it surprises people and that's interesting to me.

It might sound strange but I feel connected to people in a way that I don't actually have to be interacting with them to feel it. I just am connected and therefore very comfortable being by myself.

I decided to take myself to La Tertulia for dinner last night after Legacy Fest. It was my first time, pretty tasty.

Mezcal Negroni & Pollo Adobo for dinner.

After I told the bartenders I was alone they were both (female) really excited for me and that's kind of hilarious.

It's nice to feel as content as I do right now.

Think I'll go out and see my parents today.
