“Can't trust that day”
Its actually been a fine day.
Last Friday I found out that one of my friends, an ex-love, had passed away.
Friday also kicked off my first trip to California to visit my company.
What a doozy of a few days it's been.
A mix of highs and lows, beauty and sadness.
Castaic Lake, Valencia, CA.
Life is incredibly beautiful and short and we’re all very lucky at every second that we get.
I feel amazed that I have gotten to experience the things that I have. Always keeping in mind that death just comes, as it wants, always.
“Life's too short, death doesn't ask, it don't owe you that, some things you lose, you don't get back, so just know what you have”
This song always gets me.
Besides losing my Grandpa a couple of years ago, this is my first big loss.
The sadness hits in waves in-between memories and reels of them and scent memories of their smell.
The feeling and smell of a close hug.
Something funny we laughed about.
A favorite dance video.
It's a big loss and taking some time to fully sink in.
It's very strange to have this mixed with my California trip but eh that's life.
