After a day of rest.
Wednesday, I rested. I haven't napped that much in a long time. Of course I had to go out for a kebap, considering that this is my life now. Kebaps. Kebaps are life.
I don't know what's going on in the Turkish bellies but I just had a nip of one of those green peppers on the right and they are HOT. Turks can handle the heat.
I also had salata because I just love vegetables. This was was super tasty. The salatas usually come with oil, sometimes vinegar, and what I think is pomegranate molasses.
I haven't had any Baklava since arriving so it was definitely due. I tried chocolate and one the guy said was “special”. They were sweet but I'm not sure that I'm a Baklava type of gal, please don't judge me.
Any post from Türkiye is incomplete without a cat photo.
I had an interview in the evening and then shared some beers with a new friend. Wednesday was very chill indeed.
Now that I have hit my two week mark in Türkiye, it feels too short. It's felt too long and too short at the same time. Time is always expanding and contracting and it's making me feel a certain way.
But of course I miss Haroldo, my friends, and family. This trip has been so great for me, I'm feeling verklempt at the experience.
