Comment @ Eli Rabbet

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Surely you see the Co2 global governance framework is collapsing. Seventeen years of COP inadequacy topped off by the Copenhagen snafu  has got a lot of people fed up. It must be a slap in the face to many. It should be a wake up call, too.

I wonder if you and Wm. Connolly have any interest in all this other than as an academic exercise.

Why I attack Joe Romm

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Joe Romm is a paid climate catastrophe shill who does more to delay the replacement of fossil fuel than anyone else on the internet. His combination of cynical exaggeration of the science, unbelievable hyper partisanship and vituperative attack on any who disagree in even the smallest way with his orthodoxy has even contributed to the doubts more and more people have about climatology.

Joe is a guy with two or three good ideas and seven thousand bad ones.  At one time, climateprogress had a good group of commenters including John Mashey and Earl Killian. Now the comments are dominated by the likes of dhogaza and other anonymous reality challenged cheerleaders.

The People’s wedge

I hear the siren’s song

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Climatopia has drawn me into commenting on some blogs. There’s the most marvelous scandal brewing in the arcane world of  climate science.  For those unfamiliar, in climate science there actually is a consensus that human activity has an effect on the planet. The consensus ends there. Everything else is up for grabs.

The scandal is engulfing Prof. Phil Jones who as a young man dedicated himself to compiling all the available worldwide daily temperature records into one computerized data set. It was a monumental task. Computers and computer languages were very primitive by today’s standards. When completed, it becomes the foundation of the science of climatology.

Climatopia is also reaching out to Prof. Mike Mann, author of  the hockey stick reconstructed temperature graphs which is at the center of the controversey.

I’m using this page as a universal mailbox. It is not a blog. itsfunny.biz is a simple webpage. I don’t know how to do any of the things listed over in the right hand column. Using a comments feature for communication just creates fewer problems  than a guestbook or Email.

So, in addition to welcoming those who wish to add to what they see here, this is also the place for show and booking questions.
